FanExpo Vancouver 2025 has officially wrapped. While I was unfortunately only able to attend on Sunday, I still had a lovely time.

My friends and I arrived around 11:30am and the hall was already pretty crowded, which did make it difficult to get anywhere, and shop specific booths. But I do feel like this happens at most conventions nowadays.
The first thing we did was head to the Artist Alley, which had tons of incredibly talented artists, of which a lot of them were fellow Vancouverites so it was a great way to support local creators.
It took us a couple of hours to walk through the Artist Alley, including the time we took to stop and chat to a few awesome people, like: Marcus To, John Gallagher, Diamond Fish Design, and KaijuKat.

After checking to see if Erica Lindbeck was at her table (sadly, she was away at a photo op), we took a little lunch break then prepared for my panel with fellow voice actor and costar in Journey Renewed: Fate Fantasy, Aaron Moy.

No matter how many panels or performances I have done in the past, I am always a ball of nerves right before the event. The butterflies are having a field day in my stomach. But the moment I sit down and start talking, those nerves begin to ease. And bantering with Aaron calmed those butterflies right down.

The panel went extremely well. We managed to get through (most) of our slideshow in the allotted time, and people came to speak with us afterwards to ask questions, which we were happy to answer! The feedback from people was overwhelming positive, and it seemed like the information we presented was very helpful and concise.
Aaron and I are already planning on making a virtual version of this panel since there were many who wanted to attend, but were sadly out of town or from other parts of the world.

We didn’t have much time afterwards to explore more of the convention, but we did wander through the Dealer’s Room for some last minute shopping before heading out for the night. And what better way to end a fun adventure with friends than with some good food? So Courtney, Lucas and I went to Gordon Ramsay Burger, where Lucas was mistaken for Naruto (he was cosplaying Reki from Sk8 the Infinity).

All in all, it was a fantastic day and I hope that I will have many more opportunities to do some voice acting panels at conventions both near and far!
A big thank you to Aaron Moy for suggesting the panel, to FanExpo Vancouver for allowing us the opportunity to share our knowledge, to Jen and Nicky for the great tech support, and to everyone who came out to the panel!
Until next time!
