New House!

So I mentioned this in my 2025 In Review - Winter post, but now that it’s finally ours…

NEW HOUSE POST!!

I still can’t believe that Lucas and I found what’s basically our dream house, in our dream location, and that we were able to afford it!!

We got a three story fully detached home with lots of natural light, and a garage that we can convert into our creative space (cosplay, sewing, voice acting, etc). And it’s close enough to my work that I can walk there, which is huge! No more three hour transit everyday 🙌

The cats were a little nervous at first, but since we had most of our belongings moved right away, the house was filled with a familiar scent. Evie adjusted the quickest, naturally. Then Ciri. Then Hawkins felt more at ease once he saw Ciri felt safe. Panther took the longest to get used to the new place, but he was content as long as Lucas or I were around.

Evie absolutely loves the stairs. She rips up and down them, leaps through the bars, wrestles Hawkins on them, and has nearly given us a heart attack by walking along the outside of the railing.

The babies definitely love the new windows. Especially the one facing the little patio/garden area. So many birds and even a chunky squirrel that enjoys taunting them.

We still own the condo we were living in, but as soon as we do some minor renovations, we will be listing it for sale. It will be a huge relief to have that property sold so we don’t need to deal with strata, insurance, property tax, etc. Hopefully we can get back what we paid for it, but the market is pretty bad right now so who knows? 😅

But we are definitely extremely happy with the new house! It’s absolutely perfect, and I can’t wait to spend my life with Lucas (and our 4 babies) in this beautiful home.
